Introduction The substance 2, 2'-bis (methylene) dicyclopropyl, 1, became available a few years ago. It was of interest to see if there were any new thermal reactions of this substance attributable to simultaneous reaction of both rings; the methylenecyclopropane rearrangement'of either half of the molecule was expected.
