Abstract

Summary 1. The hydrochlorides of N-methyl-L-glucosaminic acid and its nitrile are described. 2. Laboratory details are recorded for the preparation of N-methyl-L-glucosamine hydrochloride from the corresponding acid and for the preparation of its enantiomorph (pentaacetyl derivative) from D-glucosamine-reactions previously cited by Folkers and co- workers. 3.
