Abstract The 17 O NMR spectra of 58 α, β-unsaturated (vinyl) ethers were recorded in CDCl 3 solution. The dependence of the chemical shift on the number and position of alkyl substituents in the vinyl moiety and on the nature and bulkiness of the alkoxy group was explored.
