Abstract Dialkylaminodimethylchlorosilanes react with sodium amide mainly to dialkylamino- dimethylsilyl-amines, besides to the free dialkylamine and cyclo-and polysilazanes. Bis (alkylamino)-dimethylsilanes can be isolated from the reaction of alkylaminodimethylchlorosilanes with NaNH 2.
