Abstract

Epoxy compounds are known to produce ringopened addition products with nucleophilic reagents, lU4 but up to this time there has been no report about the reaction between epoxy compounds and the imide group of urethane linkages. Imide groups of urethane linkages are not reactive enough nucleophiles to react with epoxy rings without catalysts.
