Abstract

From methyl N-benzylanthranilate there were obtained the alkyl (aryl) amides of N- benzylanthranilic acid (Ia, b, e, and f)(Table I). The arylamides of N-(4'-nitrobenzyl) anthranilic acid (Ic and d) were obtained by reaction of the anthranilic acid arylamides with 4- nitrobenzyl chloride [4] in pyridine.
