Abstract: 1, 4-Diazabicyclo [2.2. 2] octane was attached symmetrically by two stearyl chains on nitrogens to afford two cationic centers 2.4 A apart from each other. Various nucleotide anions were transferred from an aqueous solution to a chloroform solution via salt formation with the ammonium cation.
