Abstract The alkylation of 5-(β-dimethylaminoethyl) tetrazole (1) with dimethyl sulfate afforded 5-(β-dimethylaminoethyl)-1-methyltetrazole (2) and 5-(β-dimethylaminoethyl)-2- methyltetrazole (3).
