Abstract

Results Photostimulated Reaction of Amide Ions and Diphenylphosphide Ions with l-Bromo- 2, 4, 6-trimethylbenzene. In order to learn whether amide ion reacts by the SRNl mechanism stimulated by light, we performed the reaction of amide ion with l-bromo-2, 4, 6- trimethylbenzene 1 (eq 1). We found 70% l-amino-2, 4, 6-trimethylbenzene 2 and 6% 1, 3, 5- trimethylbenzene 3 were formed. There is no reaction at all after 120 min (Table I) in ...
