Conclusions The spatial relationships between the hydroxyl group, the aromatic ring, the nitrogen atom, and the nitrogen lone pair (or in the case of a protonated nitrogen atom, the NH bond) required for activation of central pre-and postsynaptic DA receptors seem to be identical or at least very similar.
