Abstract: Complexes of the type [Cu1 (T1Et4RP)] X (T l E t 4 W= tris (1-ethyl-4-R-imidazoly1) phosphine (R= methyl (Me), isopropyl (iPr)); X= PF6, C104, CF3S03), in which TlEt4RP functions as a tridentate nitrogen donor ligand, were prepared by Lewis acid-base reactions between [Cu1 (CH3CN) 4] X and TlEt4RP in dry, degassed solvents.
