Abstract

Abstract Catalytic asymmetric transfer hydrogenation of aromatic alkyl ketones has been investigated using [Ru (p-cymene) Cl 2] 2 and new derivatives of β-amino alcohols synthesized from (S)-(−)-lactic acid and mandelic acid as ligands.
