Abstract

(13) SJ Cristol, FR Stermitr and PS Ramey, ibid.. 78, 4939 (1'256). treated with potassium hydroxide and chromatographic separation afforded a very small yield of the acenaphthylene derivative. A melting point of a mixture of this compound and the rearranged quinone diimide showed no depression, and the infrared spectra were superimposable.
