Abstract

Bailey and his co-workers have shown that, in the case of a number of weak nitrogen bases, difficultly soluble in water, carbamide derivatives are readily formed in glacial acetic acid solution by stirring in hely ground potassium cyanate.'In this article it is further shown that this moditied form of the Woehler synthesis is serviceable in the preparation of benzylideneaminobenzylurea
