Abstract

1.12 g (5 mmol) of 9-fluorenone-1-carboxylic acid (1)'and 30 mL of glacial HOAc were added 0.606 g (5 mmol) of (-)-a-methylbenzylamine and 70 mL of'toluene. The resultant solution was heated at reflux temperature for 23.5 h under a Soxhlet extraction apparatus fied with molecular sieves (4 A).
