Abstract

Abstract A series of derivatives of 4H-2, 3-dihydrobenzo-1, 4-thiazine has been prepared. 4- Acetyl-2, 3-dihydrobenzo-1, 4-thiazine undergoes self-condensation by n-butylmagnesium bromide affording the corresponding 4-aceto-acetyl-2, 3-dihydrobenzo-1, 4-thiazine, which, is converted to 5H-1, 4-thiazino [2, 3, 4-if] quinolin-5-one.
