Abstract: A convenient one-step procedure for the synthesis of five novel fluorophores, consisting of macrocyclic polyamines containing two dansylamidoethyl side arms, by the reaction of the appropriate macrocyclic polyamines with N-dansylaziridine in acetonitrile is reported.
