A new ruthenium complex,[Ru (bpy) 2dppz-idzo] 2+(bpy= 2, 2′-bipyridine, dppz-idzo= dipyrido-[3, 2-a: 2′, 3′-c] phenazine-imidazolone), was synthesized and characterized.
