Abstract: Several N”-dithiasuccinoyl (Dts) amino acids (1) were esterified, by use of N, N'- dicyclohexylcarbodiimide (DCC) and without racemization, to tert-butyl4-(hydroxymethyl)-3- nitrobenzoate (8).
