Abstract

Nitroglycerin (NG) is a nitrate ester used in dynamites, propellants, and medicines and is therefore a common constituent in propellant-manufacturing and pharmaceutical wastewaters. In this study we investigated the reduction of NG with cast iron as a potential treatment method.
