Abstract

LiN= C (CF,), readily undergoes metathetical reactions with perfluoroacyl halides to give perfluoroacylirnines. The new acylimines, RfC (O) N= C (CF,),(Rf= CF,, C, F5), are susceptible to polar addition of XY (XY= HF, HC1, C1F) across the C= N bond to yield the corresponding secondary and tertiary amides, RfC (O) NXCY (CF,),.
