The complete set of the eigit 'tlieoreiic-ally possible stereoisomeric 3,',-', I_Z-trihydroxy-Sat- cholanic acids. five of which are now, were prepared hy reduction of the four possible 3, 7- dihydroxy-t2-oxo-Sat-esters.
