Abstract A one-step preparation of 2, 4, 5-triarylimidazolines from aromatic aldehydes was accomplished by heating with hexamethyldisilazane under solvent-free conditions. This reaction provides a convenient preparative method for triarylimidazolines having a variety of aryl groups.
