Abstract

Asymmetric transfer hydrogenation of β, β-disubstituted nitroalkenes catalyzed by a chiral diamine–rhodium complex in combination with HCO2Na–HCO2H as a hydrogen source in water was successfully realized with high reactivity, excellent chemoselectivity and good enantioselectivity.
