The resolution of a variety of (±)-P-stereogenic phosphines is achieved by exploiting the Staudinger reaction of a (±)-phosphine with enantiopure (1 S, 2 R)-O-(tert-butyldimethylsilyl) isobornyl-10-sulfonyl azide.
