Abstract

The versatility of cyanuric chloride in the aromatic nucleophilic substitution gave rise to the convcnicnt synthesis of wide variety of triazine derivatives. A large number of them have found commercial applications as pesticides, dyestuffs, optical bleaches, surface active agents, pharmaceuticals, explosives, adhesives, textile finishing agents, reagents in plastics and rubber industry etc. These products are manufactured on a large scale.
