Abstract

The reaction of lb with thrombin was monitored by chromogenic assay.', 3 A 1-to 5-fold excess of lb with thrombin (1.5 pM) in pH 7.4 Tris buffer led to complete loss of thrombin activity in less than 1 hour. Gel filtration of the resulting inactive thrombin solution on Sephadex G-25 with pH 7.4 Tris buffer solvent gave an inhibitor-free fraction eluting identically with active thrombin but with less than 2% activity.
