Abstract: An understanding has been obtained of the complex mechanisms that are followed when alkyl or aryl Grignard reagents react with (NPCI,),(2) in tetrahydrofuran. The main products are monoalkylcyclotriphosphazenes (3) and bi-(cyclotriphosphazenes)(4).
