Abstract

Over the past sixty years there have been scattered reports of the conversion of cyclohexenone oximes to anilines and their derivatives. 2 Thus the oximes of cyclohexenone3 and of its 3-methylJ4 4-isopropyl15~ 6 3, 5-dimethyl4v7 and 3-methyl-640- propyl6 derivatives gave on treatment with acetic anhydride or acetyl chloride acetanilide and the corresponding alkyl derivatives.
