Abstract

Fluorinated dehydrocoelenterazines (F-DCTs) were synthesized to study molecular mechanisms of symplectin; a photoprotein of luminous squid Symplectoteuthis oualaniensis L. F-DCTs reacted with dithiothreitol and glutathione under neutral conditions to give the stable chromophores as symplectin model.
