Summary Six new and two previously reported 2-thenyl substituted diamines, C, H&CHa (Ri) NR* B, have been synthesized in which R1 is a phenyl or 2-pyridyl radical, Rn is a straight or branched alkylene chain of two or three carbon atoms and B is a dimethylamino or piperidino group. An interesting decomposition of one of these in the presence of hydrogen halides has been observed, the products identified and a mechanism suggested.
