A series of divalent and oxabridged neonicotinoids were synthesized by reactions of nitromethylene analogues of imidacloprid and dialdehydes, and their structures were confirmed by 1H NMR, 13C NMR, high-resolution mass spectroscopy, and X-ray diffraction analysis.
