Abstract

The reaction of chlorodiphenylphosphine with S4N4 in acetonitrile produces the six- membered heterocycle (Ph2PN) 2NSCl, which is converted into a tricyclic ring on treatment with Me3SiNSNSiMe3; the structures of these new PSN ring systems have been determined by X-ray crystallography.
