Abstract

The aim of this investigation was to determine the mechanism of action of the nitrosophenylpyridine derivative of nifedipine (“nitrosonifedipine”, NN) on Fe (II) transport into erythrocytes. Nifedipine is rapidly degraded to NN by daylight.
