Abstract

Rate constants for nucleophilic aromatic substitution reactions of picryl chloride, I, with acetate ion and a series of amine nucleophiles, including primary, secondary, tertiary (quinuclidines), and amines which show the a-effect, in aqueous and methanol solutions have been measured.
