The synthesis, proof of structure, and biological activity of some new steroidal 17P-formyl guanylhydrazones are described. The guanylhydrazones of nondigitalis-like steroids inhibited myocardial Na+, K+-ATPase but had only a depressant effect on myocardial contractility.
