Abstract Blood-protein adducts are used as dosimeter for modifications of macromolecules in the target organs where the disease develops. The functional groups of cysteine, tyrosine, serine, lysine, tryptophan, histidine and N-terminal amino acids are potential reaction sites for isocyanates.
