Abstract: Treatment of organotrineopentoxyphosphonium trifluoromethanesulfonates with base and organic peroxides results in carbon to phosphorus (CP) bond cleavage. The products of the homolytic hydrolysis are hydrocarbons and trineopentyl phosphate.
