Abstract

In continuation of earlier investigations of the mechanism of crosslinking of fluoroelastomers by amines, this paper reports the synthesis of certain model compounds and their reactions with selected amines. Previous work3 conducted on the polymers indicated that at room temperature dehydrohalogenation is the primary reaction.
