Abstract

The main psychoactive constituent of marijuana,(-)-Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol, produces most of its physiological effects by interacting with the CB1 cannabinoid receptor, a membrane protein belonging to the large superfamily of G-protein coupled receptors.
