Abstract

Conclusions The minor species Ago (C) observed earlier in Li, 2A and Ca6A zeolites becomes a major Ago species by ion exchange of A zeolite with Mg2+ prior to doping by Ag'. In A zeolites containing Mg2'but still richer in sodium, Ago (C) decays to Ago (A) on warming above 100 K. In fully sodium-exchanged A zeolite only Ago (A) is seen. ESEM analysis indicates that Ago (C) interacts with two water molecules at an Ago-0, distance of 0.26 nm, ...
