The comparison of Entry 1 with Entry 4 suggests that sun- light is a promoter for the hydrolysis since the reaction in the dark is too slow to be detected. This can be further substantiat- ed by the comparison of Entry 4 with Entry 3 that the reaction under UV light was much more efficient.
