Abstract

The recently reported conversion of 2, 3-di-O-sulfonyl-d-galactopyranosides to d- idopyranosides has provided an efficient route to obtaining orthogonally-protected idopyranoside building blocks with a β-1, 2-cis glycosidic linkage.
