Abstract

Substituted vinylazides, which were prepared by condensation of aromatic and heterocyclic aldehydes with ethyl azidoacetate1 - 3, afforded upon thermolysis con- densed pyrroles. This method was further extended4 - 6 to five-membered hetero- cycles.
