Abstract

Melanin-concentrating hormone receptor antagonists containing thieno-and a benzopyridazinone cores were designed and tested as potential anorectic agents. These ligands showed high affinity for the receptor, potent functional activity in vitro, and good oral bioavailabilty in rats.
