Abstract

Enantiomerically pure trans-3-aminocyclohexanols were required during a study of thiadiazoles and oxadiazoles as PDE7 inhibitors. 1 On examination of the literature, there were no reported syntheses of enantiomerically pure 3-aminocyclohexanols and to the best of our knowledge there has been very little chemistry describing this core structure. 2 Herein we report a methodology for obtaining enantiomerically pure (S,S)- and (R,R)-3-aminocyclohexanols by selective ...
