Abstract An unexpected highly selective mono-transesterification of symmetrical acetylenedicarboxylates with various alcohols occurred in the presence of Candida rugosa lipase. This reaction allows an efficient preparation of unsymmetrical acetylenedicarboxylates and related α, β-acetylenic esters.
