Abstract Using similar procedures, the syntheses of [2-14 C]-malononitrile and malono [14 C] nitrile are described. Condensation with o-chlorobenzaldehyde affords [2-14 C]-o- chlorobenzylidenemalononitrile and o-chlorobenzylidenemalono [14 C] nitrile respectively.
