Abstract

ALTHOUGH challenged by antibiotics and a range of relatively simple compounds effective in varying degrees, emetine (VII) is still pre-eminent in the treatment of amcebiasi~.~ Many attempts to obtain simple analogues having the same or enhanced activity have so far not
