Abstract

Results Preparation of Diallyl Ethers. Unsymmetrical diallyl ethers 2 are readily available in high yields by 0-alkylation of allyl alcohols 1 with allyl halides (Table I). Ruthenium Catalyzed Rearrangement of Diallyl Ethers. The diallyl ethers were heated at 200" C in the presence of 0.1 mol% tris (tripheny1phosphine) ruthenium dichloride in sealed Pyrex tubes for 1-4 h.
